Mac Whitlow

Communications Officer

Mac is the Communications Officer at the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation, overseeing marketing, social media, and more. She graduated from Hastings College with a personalized degree in Art Entrepreneurship, accompanied by a minor in Education. At Hastings College, she dedicated a significant portion of her time to the Scott Scholar program, where she created and implemented a program of work aimed at uplifting students on their journey to become philanthropically motivated members of their communities.

Before joining the Foundation, Mac worked as a graphic artist, where she created visually engaging print materials and logos, utilizing her art and illustration education to bring a unique twist to her designs. She also worked as a creative freelancer for various small businesses across Nebraska, making everything from billboards to t-shirts.

In her free time, you can find her tending to her 200+ house plants, playing video games with her friends, or with a pen in her hand, illustrating.
