The research
To better understand the needs and resources in Hall County, the H.E.L.P. Coalition partnered with Parlay Consulting on a year-long research effort. This work included reviewing existing data, talking with community members, and working directly with local service providers to map available resources.
The result is a clearer picture of what’s working well, where gaps exist, and how we can continue strengthening support for our community.
What We Learned
Hall County is supported by a strong network of organizations and people who are deeply committed to serving others. Collaboration is already happening, and there is a shared desire to continue working together to meet community needs.
At the same time, the research highlighted challenges that many residents experience. While many services are located in Grand Island, access can be more difficult for those living in other parts of the county. Transportation, housing, childcare, and mental health services continue to be areas where demand is high.
We also learned that finding and navigating resources isn’t always easy. Increasing awareness, improving coordination, and making services more accessible will be key to strengthening support for all residents moving forward.

About the COALITION
The H.E.L.P. (Helping to Engage Life-changing Programs) Coalition is a group of Hall County human service organizations working together to share resources, strengthen collaboration, and better serve our community.
By bringing together nonprofits, government agencies, and community partners, the coalition works to improve coordination, reduce service gaps, and make it easier for residents to access support.
The coalition meets regularly to share updates, identify challenges, and explore opportunities to work more effectively together. As Hall County grows, this collaboration is key to building a stronger, more responsive network of support.
