Karlea Stephens was born and raised in Grand Island, Nebraska and recently graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is excited to have chosen to return to the Grand Island community to build her career here and is grateful for the opportunity to serve the community that shaped her.
Karlea is beginning her career at the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation as the Operations and Database Coordinator. Her passion for giving back to the community began in high school, where she helped lead and organize blood drives and volunteered with youth groups. She looks forward to continuing that commitment to the Grand Island community through her work at GGICF.
Outside of work, Karlea enjoys spending time with her family and friends, golfing, and spending time with her dog. She enjoys being active, trying new things and making the most of her free time.
