Discretionary Grant

If you are interested in learning more about the Discretionary Grant Application please contact the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation. After a short discussion, if your request fits with GGICF’s funding initiatives you will be invited to complete a letter of intent provided to you by a link. If GGICF feels that the request is in alignment with our impact areas you will then receive a code to complete the online application. If you are interested in acquiring more information, please reach out to info@gicf.org.

Greater Grand Island Community Foundation offers a discretionary grant program for projects, programs, and events that improve the quality of life in the Grand Island area. Requests are accepted on a case-by-case basis following the successful screening of a Letter of Intent. The size and number of grants awarded each year are directly related to the amount of money available each year for distribution.

The Discretionary Grant program is developed to provide flexibility for Greater Grand Island Community Foundation to address bold ideas, emerging needs, and innovative programs and can be used to leverage dollars from other funding sources. Discretionary Grants are typically more than $10,000, and may be multi-year awards depending on the size and scope of the request.
