This spring, we awarded $47,000 in Greater Impact Grants to 10 Hall County nonprofits. These grants help meet unmet needs, support unique ideas, and respond to emerging challenges in our community.

“This program is about meeting people where they are and supporting the creative, impactful work already happening in our communities,” said CEO Melissa DeLaet. “Every grant we make reflects our belief in the people and organizations working hard to make Hall County stronger.”

The Greater Impact Grant Program is made possible by donors who have established field of interest funds. These funds focus on areas including arts, education, and health—allowing the Foundation to award support where it’s needed most.

One recent grantee, Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity, will use its funding to reconnect with Habitat homeowners through neighborhood visits, block parties, and maintenance workshops. “With this support, we’re able to invest in the heart of our mission—people,” said Lindsey Jurgens, Executive Director. “Reconnecting with Habitat homeowners strengthens neighborhoods and reminds families that we’re still here, committed to their success.”

This quarter’s grants are helping bring an Omaha Symphony holiday concert to Grand Island, expand youth leadership opportunities, boost blood donation technology, support local farmers markets, and much more.
