Dori Wanitschke was born in Grand Island Nebraska and has 35 years of experience in banking operations and compliance management. After graduating from Doniphan High School she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Food Science and Management from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Her early banking days she was cashier/controller of the State Bank of Litchfield and the Bank of Doniphan.

Dori served on the Hall County Leadership Tomorrow Board, was President of the Grand Island Zoological Association and a Nebraska LEAD fellow.

In 1996 Dori moved to Rancho Mirage California where she continued in banking, leading up the Electronic Banking Department of Palm Desert National Bank where her staff deployed over 8000 ATM’s in malls and casinos. She was also involved with the start-up of Canyon National Bank where she served on the Loan Committee, and managed Compliance and Deposit and Loan Operations before moving to El Paseo Bank where she was specifically hired by the institution to correct regulatory requirements pertaining to bank-wide compliance issues, including risk assessments and audits.

While in California, Dori chaired the Athena Committee of Palm Springs and served on the Go Red for Women committee of the Coachella Valley Heart association.

In 2013 Dori returned to Grand Island and currently manages the finances of the Grand Island Community Foundation.
