About Go Big GIVE
Go Big GIVE will take place online at GoBigGIVE.org on July 7, 2020 from midnight to midnight (12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.).
In 2019, there were more than 130 participating organizations in Hall, Hamilton, Howard and Merrick Counties. Thanks to you we raised more than $1,000,000. Organizations that participated serve armed forces, veterans, arts & culture, community improvement, education, environment & parks, health & safety, human services, recreation & fitness, and youth development.
What is Go Big GIVE?
Go Big GIVE is a 24-hour, online giving event organized by the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation and Heartland United Way to grow philanthropy in Hall, Hamilton, Howard, and Merrick Counties. Matching funds and prize money will be available to amplify charitable donations. Go Big GIVE is based on other successful giving days hosted by community organizations across the country.
Why do people give on May 3, 2016 through GoBigGIVE.org?
We encourage you to support your local nonprofits with year-round giving, but we created a special event to celebrate the spirit of generosity and support the work of nonprofits. Plus, your gift made through www.GoBigGIVE.org during the 24 hours will be amplified by matching funds, bonus grants and incentive prizes.
How does Go Big GIVE work to help participating nonprofit organizations?
After Go Big GIVE, organizations will receive the donations gifted to their organization as well as a proportional share of the match pool. For example, if an organization receives 5% of the total donations raised by all organizations participating in Go Big GIVE, then the organization will receive 5% of the Challenge Match Pool.
