Megan Vaughn

Communications Officer

Megan is a proud Grand Island native and a graduate of Grand Island Central Catholic. She graduated from Hastings College in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Digital Development and Design and minoring in Marketing. At Hastings College, she helped in several roles including Collegian Page Editor, Imaging Lab manager, and CAMA graphic designer.

Megan has been with the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation since January 2020, starting as an intern for the spring semester assisting in the 2019 rebrand. Megan went on to join the foundation’s team in the summer as a Summer Associates VISTA, then as the foundation's Community Impact VISTA and has now taken on the role of GGICF’s Communications Officer in August, 2021.

Since her start at the foundation, Megan has been tasked with creating marketing material, keeping up with social media, assisting in the website update, and so much more. She will continue her work in the realm of design and marketing as well as additional roles in GGICF operations.

Megan lives in Grand Island, close to her family, with her puppy Nova. She loves cooking shows, all things plants, and loves to have creative outlets.
