Kendra is a Palmer, Nebraska native growing up on a farm outside of town. She graduated from Palmer Public Schools and attended Southeast Community College with a major in Human Services with an emphasis in Social Work. Kendra joined the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation as Program Officer in July 2021.

Kendra was previously Assistant Program Director for Central Nebraska Youth Services serving Merrick, Hamilton, Nance, and Polk counties in Juvenile Diversion and Truancy Prevention & Intervention Services. Kendra brings a passion for youth, families, and community service. She is a member of the Palmer Youth Sports Association, Saint Libory Catholic Church, volunteers in her local 4-H programs, and has previously served on Eyes of a Child Committee, LB1184 MDT team, Juvenile Comprehensive Community Plan Team. She is excited to get involved in the Grand Island community.

Kendra and her husband, Ben, have two children—Bexley & Brixton. In Kendra’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with family & friends, watching any Husker sporting event, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
