Rosemary Werner Memorial Hat Tree
Bill Werner and Mary Mickey stand next to the Rosemary Werner Memorial Hat Tree located at St. Francis Cancer Treatment Center. The hats are purchased through a fund established in memory of Bill Werner’s late wife Rosie. The hats, which are available to all cancer patients, are ordered seasonally and each is embroidered and tagged with Rosemary Werner’s initials.

What is GRACE?
Grand Island Area Cancer Endowment was established to help local cancer patients and local organizations that support cancer treatment, support, research, and education by providing funds to assist with unique financial obligations and unmet needs.
Local breast cancer survivors and dear friends, Lisa Willman and Julie Pfeifer, came to realize that everyone deals with diagnosis, treatment and survivorship differently. Their hope is to provide not only emotional support, but to have funds available through the endowment to assist with unique financial obligations and unmet needs for those fighting ALL types of cancer.
