Laurie Kulus, GICF Admin Asst

Laurie grew up in Grand Island, and—after spending some time overseas with her Air Force husband, Scott—she and her family returned to the Grand Island area 30 years ago. Though Laurie and her husband moved to a Phillips address 12 years ago, she has continued to work in the Grand Island area. Laurie joined the Grand Island Community Foundation as our Administrative Assistant in July of 2018.

Laurie brings to the Foundation vast experience in business management, human resource management, medical office management, and organizational leadership. In her most recent position, Laurie was the Executive Director for the GRACE Cancer Foundation. Laurie’s educational background is in Human Relations and Human Resources.

She is a current member of Leadership Tomorrow LT2, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, and is a class 32 Leadership Tomorrow graduate. She also participated in the first class of the Foundation’s NEI (Nonprofit Excellence Institute) program, which met in 2016-2017.

Laurie and Scott have two grown children: Amber (Adam) and Bradley (Melissa). Laurie loves to run and spend time outdoors—especially at the lake fishing—but, most of all, enjoys spending time with her granddaughters Brooklyn, Lainey, and Quinn.
