Field of Interest – Basic Needs Grants
Gene and Ellinor Reab and The Huwaldt Family have each established charitable funds at the Grand Island Community Foundation to benefit Grand Island area programs meeting basic needs.
FOI - Basic Needs Grant Requirements
Only complete applications, with all questions answered, will be forwarded to the grant committee. No handwritten or faxed proposals will be accepted. All proposals must include an application cover sheet, program narrative and budget summary (refer to Program Narrative page). Please don't staple grant proposals. Keep in mind proposals may be copied for distribution to the grant committee and any graphics should copy well. Proposals that do not follow the format provided will not be forwarded to the grant committee for review.
FOI - Basic Needs Grant Timelines
The Foundation will review requests quarterly, with deadlines for grant submission on March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1. When the 1st falls on a Saturday or Sunday, grant applications will be due the Monday immediately following. Grant requests must be received by 4:00 p.m. on the date of the application deadline. (Applications postmarked on this date, but received on a later date will not be accepted.) Please mail or hand-deliver grants.
